Do you have a ring that you like the way it fits on that finger? I have the same problem, and I had a ring that I used to wear there that was a lot smaller then my other rings, but I loved the fit and that is what they used to measure me for my Engagement Ring, not my finger.

I have the same problem.  My ring is nice and snug when I’m really hot, its perfect when I’m warm, and can slip off very easily when I’m cold – all of winter time.  I think sizing it down 1/4 size would be perfect for me, sounds like the same for you. However, I didnt want it to be so tight I’d be strangling my finger during the really hot summer days so I opted not to size it and just to add something like a snuggie for the winter months.  I tried the snuggies and they are bulky and unattractive, so I wrap some fishing wire around the back.  It’s secured back on itself underneath the wrap.

I wouldn’t get it re-sized if you don’t have to because each time you do that it weakens the metal.  They can put two little dots on the inside of gold that allow your finger to swell but make it feel smaller and more secure.

I agree with the ring snuggie thing. I have to wear one in the winter. It works fine, and comes off when I want it too. I wouldnt re size though.

I have the same problem and I’m getting “spacers” added to the back of my ring. This isn’t my ring (it belongs to Mrs. D’orsay), but it’s what I’m aiming for!

I’m not sure, but I really don’t think you can feel them.  Another issue is your engagement ring will feel even smaller when you get a wedding band with it.

@thefuturemrs.o: that’s exactly what I was trying to describe.

I’d wait until after the wedding to decide if you want it sized.  My ering is a 1/4 size too big, but with the band behind it pushing it into a chubbier part of my finger, it fits perfectly.

I would try either sizing bars or a horseshoe spring.  Sizing beads (as shown in the picture above) hurt my finger..  A lot of people love them, but I have boney fingers so I couldn’t deal.

since you would only be resizing for 1/2 or 1/4 of a size, when you get your wedding ring in the current size of your engagement ring, the two should end up fitting perfectly on your finger in all temperatures. i voted other: get the wedding band in the current size and don’t resize your engagement ring.

if it is still loose with the wedding band then get the dots on the inside of the ring.

Hold off until you start looking at wedding bands. Having two rings on your finger is a lot snugger than just the one; don’t size down until you for sure know that adding a band won’t make enough of a difference.

@red_rose: hey, i tihnk the ring snuggie is your best option and as far as your band goes

if you’re planning on wearing it on the inside…it doesnt need to be your size! It can be big but will never fall off because it’s behind your ering….i dont htink you shoud size either one down bcuz finger sizes change so much throughout the year..

sometimes I feel like mine is super tight…and sometimes i’m debating making it smaller! So ring snuggie!
