Missjan2015:  Hello, fellow NZ bees! Lovely to see so many of you on here!

I was also recently a Wellington bride. It sounds like your dress has been ordered in the right size, and even if it did end up being a teensy bit on the snug size, there’s always much more flexibility with alterations than you’d think.

Can I ask who your dress is by? I hope you don’t go dieting – you sound perfect as you are!

Hi girls, not sure if this helps, but I am an AU 8 and a US 2 or 4 (2 in most mass-market brands and designer 4 since they run a bit snugger).  I am 5’7″ (170 cm?  Doing math in head.). Bust: 32D (10D/12C), waist: 25″ (approx. 65cm), hips: 35″ (89cm).

Going off of height and weight alone is hard, but I think you will be ok size wise.  Or at least close enough that a little tailoring or Spanx will help you the rest of the way.

Missjan2015:  Ha ha, if you walked down naked at least it will be cheaper! I already have another dress, got it off BooHoo.com for $30, I realised I needed a beach dress to get marred in 40 to 45 degrees in some comfort anyway! The other one went on Facebook and the girl loved it.

sounds like a swap then, we are going your way! I have always wanted to see New Zealand and please forgive my probably incorrect spelling on My Teranaki.

You will love it here, especially Tasmania if you’re going there, I’m a Victorian myself and Melbourne is nice (I’m country) but isn’t all its cracked up to be. It’s really worth coming in warmer weather though, we have so many amazing places that can only be appreciated when it’s warm.

Little bit of advice though, in Australia we have a few sites we can’t walk on (like Uluru previously  Ayers Rock) due to the restrictions, Indigenous Australians have put on to preserve their sacred land (sounded like a complaint, it wasn’t meant to) is there anything like that over in NZ that I should know?
