I would recommend always ordering larger, as its easier to make something smaller than to make it bigger. You are going to need alterations either way.

Not one dress in the entire world will fit your body perfectly. Order size 4, find a good seamstress and have alterations done. Taking in is always easier and prettier than taking out.

Don’t fret, I work at a bridal store and have yet to find a bride that fits truly perfectly in a dress. I always order a size to big for ‘my brides’ 

Edit: and it always works out very beautifully after alterrations! Forgot to say that!

I would size up too. You might not be taking into account undergarments. I didn’t and thought a certain size will fit. It did but with no bra on! I went with the size up and it fit perfectly with my bra on. Also, the majority of the time you’ll need to get alterations anyway, so just get it altered down.

@kyana:  go with the size that fits the biggest part of you.  Then you can have it taken in on the other areas.
