If you can somehow get Fiji to be in your budget do it! It was the most amazing place I have ever been to and while it was a splurge for us it was completely worth it! We stayed at Likuliku and day dream about going back all of the time now.

We just had friends come back form Thailand for their honeymoon and they told us they’d kill us if we went anywhere else! They travelled all over and stayed at a whole bunch of small places for really cheap.

We also know another couple that just got back from three months in Thailand, Vietnam, and Loas. They absolutely loved it as well! I believe they did the same type of back-packing as our others friends.

My Fiance and I are totally looking into this πŸ™‚

You may want to be sure you aren’t going to spend all your time in Bangkok (or any of it depending on what you want for your honeymoon) as there has been a lot of political unrest there over the past few months and (I think) martial law is still in place – no one can predict if this will still be going on next June but travel insurance doesn’t usually cover political situations that have already begun (they will only cover if it is a change after you buy your tickets)

That being said if you really want to go there you can fly straight to Phuket which is the tourist/beach mecca and spend all your time there πŸ™‚

    Have fun!

We flew from Boston and stayed for 2 weeks. We chose an all inclusive package and ended up spending 14k. It seemed so crazy but it was worth it and I know we will never do it again.

I probably shouldn’t admit this but we ended up charging half and paying it off with wedding money. LOL. I just always had my heart on going and knew I would never have another chance.
