Can anyone help me out? We are getting married in Jamaica on June 22, 2012 with only close family and friends, then plan on having a large, traditional reception on July 7, 2012 once we return to celebrate with all our family and friends. There are several favors I want to personalize for the reception back home but i do not know what date to use!!!
Should i use the actual wedding date or the day the reception is being held? It seems kind of odd to have a past date on the photobooth strips for the guests but July 7th really won’t hold much significant value exept that it is the day we had the big celebration…

My initial idea was that if both were taking place in the same month to write “June 2012”, but that’s obviously not an option. Would it be weird to write “Summer 2012”? Otherwise, maybe go with June 22,2012 since it is your wedding date.

We are doing the same thing, our reception is 2 weeks after our elopment and we have simply chosen to leave the dates off. The only thing we have ordered that suggested we should enter a date were some personalised cocktail nakins we’re using for our signature drink and we just wrote “Love Always, Keane and Kelly”. We are having our favours on a designated table, not at each setting, in clear boxes filled with a few different sweets options so people can help themselved to whichever they prefer. There is no writing on them, just a little sign on the table saying help yourselves.

what if you had something like
John & Jane est. 2012
or the Smiths est. 2012

I would just put “2012” if you have your heart set on a date
