Exactly what “retro”  Retro 70’s? 50’s?

How about some old coke bottles and use them for bud vases.  Make a line of them down the cake table of food table.

Food:

 petit fours

“frosted” sandwich loaf? That is when you take a loaf of unsliced white bread, trim the crust off, slice it three or four times lengthwise, then you spread thinly with soft fillings, like veggies with cream cheese, or pimento cheese, ham salad, egg salad etc, then you put the loaf back together, and “frost” the whole thing with an herbed cream cheese, and sprinkle parsley all over it…When sliced, it looks really cool….There is an actual recipe for it on http://www.cooks.com under “Frosted Ribbon Loaf”..

 “pigs in a blanket”..

.A nice congealed fruit salad…

Divinity,

Clam dip…

pink punch or cocktails

How about a theme?  Like retro kitchen and register her for all new kitchen things with a retro colour theme.  I see they are all coming out in the mad men blue colours.   … I know you said pin up era, but I had a fondue party lately and it was a huge hit.

I always think of Speakeasys with the 20’s, so maybe serving a wine punch in teacups?

boas are very 20’s as well. You could use those to decorate. Pin them along a table cloth to trim a table, etc

If you are doing a “dress the bride up” type thing, give her a boa and a hair band like this to wear

Of course play music, Roaring 20s was the jazz age.  A different kind of jazz than we know now.

And you can put the fleur de lys on some cupcakes and maybe buy a tablecloth you can stencil a large one on it (cut out a pattern from printed computer paper)

The Great Gatsby was from the 20’s, maybe you can borrow some from the library to use as decoration?

Hmm for food I believe the Waldord Astoria came out with their famous Waldorf Salad.

Also tea sandwich (like cream cheese), jello molds, fancy salads similar to waldorf with frui and nuts, pineapple upside down cake (and other fruit related salds and desserts)
