I use an ultrasonic cleaning machine I bought off Amazon. Absolutely life-changing. It is however worth noting that they’re not appropriate for use with all kinds of stones, metals, and more intricate settings where diamonds can easily be knocked loose.

Dip your diamond ring in baby oil for 10 seconds. Rinse in water. Dip in undiluted dish soap (washing up liquid in the UK) for ten seconds. Rinse in water. Put the ring back on your finger. Voila. Sparkling diamond!
There is no brushing or scrubbing involved and so there is no damage to the setting or loosening of any prongs.
This method works wonderfully with diamonds, rubies and sapphires. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT use on emeralds, pearls or opals.
Before rinsing remember to put the plug in the sink.

I clean my rings almost everyday and it is safe to use dawn dish soap in hot water, soak for 5-15 minutes depending on how dirty your rings are and then brush with a childs soft toothbrush. Dry with a soft cloth.
