I am in the process of starting my seating chart. My family is in Florida which is where our wedding is and his family is in NYC. I am unsure if I should scatter each family member at different tables so they are forced to get to know each other or should i put like family with like family so it will not be drama? its a small wedding of only 50 people. I don’t want to force people to talk to each other… Ugh – sooo frustrating!

I think guests should be comfortable, so I would sit people with whom they want to spend the evening with.

You should sit people with the people they would want to sit with so they will enjoy themselves. Don’t force them to mingle.

im keeping families together… i ei his aunts and thier children. or two sets of siblings plus their children) if they bring children. coworkers are at one or two tables. my family with my family.. church members who know eachother… or you can say since you are all family u decide where to sit.. lol. that wouldnt work for BIG weddings but maybe for the wedding of 50 and less that might work…
