I have fallen in love with the look of sequin tablecloths!! I think they look amazing and add a feel of glamour to the reception.
This is what I want:
I have scoured the interent and just can not seem to find the right sequin fabric in the right colour. My wedding colours are Pearl, ivory and dusty/blush pink with splashes of gold. Ideally I want the tablecloths to be the blush pink as pictured. The tablecloth in the picture is from La Tavola but I’m in Australia so I will just nee to try and copy.
Does anybody know where I could look to find fabric like this OR is there any online stores that will custom make tablecloths?
Now that I have seen these images I can not get the idea out of my head, I have to have them! LOL! WHY IS THE PERFECT FABRIC SO HARD TO FIND?!
Has anybody had sequin tablecloths for the reception? How did they look? Where did you source them from?

@katiemaree: I will absolutely follow your post here cause I accidentally came across this picture and fell in ove the sequin tablecloth idea. I so totally agree, they look so glamorous and chic. My wedding colors are almost exactly like yours (ivory, blush pink with some elements of gold), so if i find something i will keep you posted, and will appreciate it if you find an online store which sells these too. Good luck to us 🙂

I too have fallen in love with sequin tablecloths. I’m not sure what your budget is, but they are QUITE pricey ($200-$300) per tablecloth to purchase and $50-$100 to rent. I also tried to get the price to have them made (by a family member that sews for free), but because sequins are so “in” right now, the material is quite expensive. The photo you posted goes for about $40/yard and if you want the tablecloths to drop to the floor, you need like 5 yars. that’s $200 per tablecloth.
One alternative is to buy standard polyester tablecloths for cheap and do the sequin as an overlay. You won’t need the 5 yards (probably 1 will do).
Also, I just ran across this gold tablecloth on sale (2 for $160): http://shop.christmascentral.com/items/item.aspx?itemid=30658609&CAWELAID=1621652122&catargetid=1614140047&cagpspn=pla-&gclid=CKC16MD_wbQCFcFxOgod6wUAKQ

@katiemaree: I would really check with local fabric stores. I’m sure they have sequin fabric, and if you need it in bulk in another color, I’m sure they would be happy to order it for you. When buying a lot of fabric I find the best price is at a local store, mostly because of shipping costs.

@katiemaree: Looks like one pictured in your OP is part of the Dolce collection from la tavola linens and can be found here. It comes in multiple colors too!

I have found a seller on Etsy who will make sequin tablecloths to the colour and size requested. The store is Suhani Events ( http://www.etsy.com/shop/SuhaniEvents?ref=seller_info ). I am just waiting to hear back from her with a picture of the sequin fabric she will use to make sure the colour is right and that it doesn’t look tacky.
From what I can see La Tavola is only a rental company aren’t they? or can you purchase from them?
I have tried all of the local fabric stores with no luck which is why I have turned to the internet.
Fingers crossed with this Etsy Seller.. her prices don’t look too bad either

try this seller. they sell fabric by the yard but perhaps you could make a tablecloth from it. that’s my plan!

I think BBJ Linens (online rental company) has them.

@katiemaree: I’m definitely hoping this etsy seller works out for you- trying to find one of these for my cake table 🙂

@mslyns: totally agree. i too love this look, and a fabric store near me sells sequin fabric in multiple shades. i will simply buy the fabric and have a seamstress create it – much less than buying! i like the idea of doing it on the sweetheart table – still get the look (and that table will be in lots of photos) without it breaking the budget.

@peonyinlove: “still get the look (and that table will be in lots of photos) without it breaking the budget.”- my EXACT thought: that’s why we’re doing it on the cake table 🙂
