I am having second thoughts. I ordered my dress online since I have a super tight budget and wanted an easy, boho, sheth style dress…. however I have gained a few pounds since this picture and I know they just hang onto every curve of the body. I am wearing spanx underneath and am now thinking I will need something more… like a full body spanx with a slip over top of that under the dress… anyone have any suggestions. I am trying to loose weight, but I seem to not be motivated to work out. Should I just start over and get an actual dress?? I got this because it’s the style I was going for and only $130
Ps. Excuse my physio tape on my arms, I don’t need them anymore 😂

Also, I am now contemplating something like this to go over top and have a slit to show the dress underneath when I walk, but still hides some areas I am worried about. Thoughts?
And dont worry, I can handle the truth!

Looking at the picture of your back, you look beautiful. The front looks a bit too tight but not that much.
Have you checked if there is a bit of allowance fabric in the seams of the dress you could take out? An inch per part could be enough.

My dress is tight around my belly and I bought an undergarment called Rago. I got it off Amazon and its definitely some serious shapewear. Your body looks great in that dress, though!! I was expecting something bad but you really look beautiful!

So I think you said you gained weight since these pictures? So we can’t see here what you are worried about.
in that case, while I love the wrap skirt idea, you are short waisted (like me) and it won’t look like it does in the picture, the tie will be much closer to your girls.
You have such a great figure, if you’re nervous about this dress can you try on some a-line styles, maybe separates.Or if you want boho casual empire waisted boho Grecian looks that will show off your top and your waist.

nirava : it is more of a stretchy fabric, which I thought was great, until I realized it would stretch and show everything haha, so nothing go be taken out
emrak : thanks! Just looked into Argo, looks like a good shaper!
BalletParker : I gained about 5lbs and have 6 months before the wedding… I am hoping to loose 20 lbs but that would require me to do a lot of work! I already eat fairly health (or so I think) so I don’t know if there really is a difference. Last night I tried it on without shapewear and I looked horrible, so maybe that’s what it was. But yes, I am contemplated looking at dresses with maybe a tulle or flowy bottom if I can’t get into the shape I want

AmDS : 5 pounds? You’ll be fine with the right shapewear! Just make sure you try it all together in advance, we’ve seen a lot of last minute crises over undergarments.

Thanks ladies! You make me feel better ❤️ I am so proud of my frugalness, but sometimes I second guess this dress because it shows all of my curves

I like the overskirt idea – your dress is a bit unforgiving over the tum isn’t it? I avoid stretchy fabrics for exactly that reason !
I wonder how hard it would be to make a plain tulle overskirt if you can’t find a reasonably priced one? . I know I’d prefer that to dieting or spending my wedding day with my stomach crushed into submission, lol.
