I’ll be watching this thread v carefully – I can’t find the right flats either! It’s so hard! I would not encourage wearing sore feet shoes all night tho – you’ll be on your feet for a looooong time, and if you’re feet aren’t comfy you’ll be crippled.

What style do you like? What color(s) are you looking at? I’m a sucker for Kate Spade, Stuart Weitzman, and Sam Edelman; all 3 have some pretty cute flats (for weddings, I think Kate Spade especially) but it totally depends on your taste.

I opted for the heels for the cute factor, despite potential discomfort…I guess I’m switching to bare feet or flats midway through the reception if I can’t stand it, but they’re a good brand and I’ll be drinking, so I might just make it through the whole thing 🙂

If you go the heels + discomfort route, pick the best designer you can in terms of comfort + cute…some of the pricier brands truly are better made and more comfortable (and I think some probably aren’t; I can’t afford the truly top designers yet so I haven’t tried tons on). You have to do what works for you!

I think if your dress winds up dragging a little, it winds up dragging a little.

I also suspect you’ll be so excited, happy, distracted by being with family and friends, distracted by being a wife…that you won’t notice so much if your feet hurt a bit.  The next day, you’re probably going to notice.  But surely you can just ice them and beg for foot rubs?

That’s my plan but I am definitely a sucker for heels.  There are some way cute flats out there, though; don’t give up yet!

crap… I HATE it when this place reminds me that I’ve gotta figure out what to do, too!

I’ll probably end up going shopping at one of the stores and praying I find something there!  My problem is, I’ve gotta have something with a heel, or I’ll fall flat on my face or trip at some point! ARGH!!!

I’m also loving (for flats, in white):

And flats, in silver (I don’t know what size you are, but these are on super sale at Piperlime. I would totally buy them if they came in mini-foot size!)

Have you thought about silver, champagne, or gold? Many of these are more widely available, still quite “bridal” and a little prettier/fancier than white white (although I understand the tradition and coordination elements involved in a choice of white)
