I recently heard about a job in my field at a private school. I went in and dropped off my resume with the assistant director, who assured me that they would be in touch as soon as the director was back from vacation.
I got a voicemail from her a few days later, on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, saying she wanted to set up an interview. Unfortunately, I was at work all day, and left my phone at home. I knew the school was closed early that day for the holiday, and would be open again Monday.
On Monday, I called, but got the director’s voicemail. I left a message saying I was still interested and looked forward to speaking with her in the interview. I gave her my number again.
I haven’t heard anything (it’s Wednesday, end of school day). Should I call back again, or give her more time to return the call? I don’t want to come across as either desperate, annoying, or disinterested!
