Hi girls! I need help! I bought this dress from David’s Bridal but I hated the sparkly circle thing on the bow – so I snipped it off. I want to make it known that I love the bow however, so not sash suggestions necessary. 🙂
I am curious what to put (if anything) in the center of the bow now where the old circle brooch used to be. I was originally thinking of leaving it plain a la this style me pretty bride (my dress is sans train):
but my family and friends think I should try and find a vintage brooch to go with my whimsical man men tea party on the beach wedding (its a crazy sounding theme I know, lol).
What do you girls think? Leave it alone or add a brooch? I’m open to adding a brooch, but I can’t think of what would look good. For reference here is my veil It is the only “flashy” part of my entire outfit so far.
My colors are begonia pink and seafoam green. 🙂
Thanks in advance!!!

I think adding a brooch would be lovely. You could check out local estate sales, as I’ve seen plenty of brooches at ones in my area. I like a little embellishment which could come from either pearls, rhinestones, or a combination of both.
I love your dress and veil!

I added a brooch to the bow of my dress and felt it did so much. So yes, I think you should too!

I think a brooch would be a pretty addition, but I think I like how it looks without even better.. especially with the pretty blusher you’re going to wear that has its own pizazz. I loved the vintage wedding pictures you included in your post, her dress was lovely without any brooch, she opted for a necklace instead. Maybe you could do a statement piece accessory like that, you have the absolute perfect dress (and beauty) to pull it off.

a brooch would look great!

I am OBSESSED with your veil! Because it’s so sparkly I might go without the brooch though!

Not sure about a brooch, I have to see it with & without to give an opinion.
But I love the dress & the veil. Your colours sound gorgeous too…good luck!
