First of all congrats ๐Ÿ™‚ Second I highly recommend going into a store (with or without your man) and try on both cuts ๐Ÿ™‚ I went back and forth with pears and ovals too, but once I tried on a pear there was no looking back!

3rd. Here’s my pear ๐Ÿ™‚

I actually really love my oval. And oddly I was in love with princess and radiant cut before I tried this on.  2 carat tanzanite set in rose gold with Diamond halo

kadijo14:  I was between oval and pear also, and have chosen to go with oval. Unfortunately I don’t have a photo of the actual ring yet, because it is only just now going into production. It will be this setting in rose gold with the oval instead of round : https://eshop.gabrielny.com/product/ER3740W44JJ. They said they’ve never done it with an oval before, so fingers crossed it looks as amazing in real life as it does in my head!

Was in the same boat as you! i actually ordered an oval first and then traded it for a pear! you HAVE to try it on. and the size you are going to get, too. I tried on a much larger oval and loved it. When I ordered my smaller sized oval, it changed the look on my finger entirely, and I went with my original love, the pear. Which is beautiful in any size to me.

Currently my girl is being set, so I do not have an exact photo, but here is the loose stone, and the setting model:

My pear is set yet but it will be going in one of these settings, probably in rose gold.
