I need to get creative here. My sister is getting married beginning of September. She’s a surgical resident who works 30 hour shifts and doesn’t know the next vacation week she has off until June/July, and for sure doesn’t have more than one day off here and there until then. Her traveling home is out of the question. We’re *hoping* she has her own wedding week off.
The problem is, we (her bridesmaids) want to do SOMETHING for her. Bride is in Rhode Island. I’m in San Diego. Her other two bridesmaids are in LA and NY. What do we do?? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Since it seems hard to schedule and travel with a difficult schedule what about a virtual shower? Maybe you all mail her the wrapped gifts and she can open when you all can skype together?

Yes! I’ve thought of that as a backup plan, but honestly I don’t see another option. Thank you! Hoping for some more ideas from the forum! 🙂

How about a spa day and lunch the weekend of the wedding?

Is it possible for you all to travel to her and scoop her up when she gets off work for a little fun?! Or by the sounds of her work schedule maybe just a group nap, haha. Maybe you could contact her employer and see about scheduling a surprise day off for her, usually people are on board when an employee is getting married. You could all fly to her and be waiting for her at the hospital when she thinks she has to go to work then escape for a spa day.
