I really like how you had it done for your trial.  I think it would go well with your dress too.  Just my personal taste.

raspberrybidet :  I definitely like both of the styles you are thinking of more than the trial style, which has a boho vintage vibe while as you point out your dress is modern and elegant.

My favorite is the messy high bun, because of the plunge front. The height is just super elegant and a perfect complement to the plunge.

raspberrybidet :  your hair trail was pretty classic; i don’t think you can go wrong with it – no one is going to look at that hair and think, “wow, that really doesn’t go with her dress.” that said, it’s my least favorite of the options. i’m partial to the touseled straight back updo. the messy bun is also cute, though something about buns as formal updos feels very last decade. but i LOVE the third one you’ve posted!

I think the middle one (high bun) would look great with that dress!  I think your hair trial is lovely but it does have more of a romantic/boho vibe and I think the high bun would look more modern like the dress.

I feel like a more sleek high bun would go best with your dress.

I think your trial updo is very romantic and princessy, would be great for gown with lace and/or tulle. I love your gown, it feels more like modern elegance so I would go with either the high top bun. Maybe make it sleeker and wear some killer earrings like this:

I even think your regular ponytail would work just fine, just sleek it back and straighten the ends. That way, all eyes will be on your face and amazing gown =)

I absolutely LOVE your dress. So chic! I wish I had the courage to rock that deep V.

I think a higher updo, even a pony tail at the crown would look super cute!

High bun all the way! Your gown is SO regal, and a high bun would really polish off the look. I may be biased, as I will be doing a top bun, but it’s such a classically elegant look!

Hey Bee, I’m wearing a ball gown with a high bun and think it’s the best look – obviously biased. But IMO it’s chic, elegant, simple and EASY. I wore it for 8+ hours that day and it didn’t budge.

Your hairline and forehead suits a pulled back style more I think. So I would vote for the high bun! xo

The high bun! Very pretty and stylish. Your trial is very pretty but I agree something a little more modern would work better.

raspberrybidet :   That first high bun with the woman with the light brown-ish blonde hair is amazing! That would work really well with the dress. I personally am not a fan of the updo you had for your trial. Sorry bee. I think it looks too traditional or 90s

raspberrybidet :  I think the high bun will be best.

Your trial hair is a little old school and kind of reminds me of prom hair. I like the other two better for you 🙂

raspberrybidet :  I love the style you wore for the trial and do not think that it’s too fussy or wrong for your dress! I’m not sure if you wear your hair up much, but do you notice you get compliments more when you have it up a certain way (ex. all straight back versus side part, etc.)? That might make it easier to decide. Either way, I’m sure you’ll look lovely!
