I think lace would take away from some of the sleek elegance of the dress.  Could she add off the shoulder sleeves like these?  If not I would leave it.  No one will notice your arms except you.

I love it as is! I think it looks beautiful and I think adding anything would ruin the look of the dress.

Sleeves would take away from the sleek sophistication of the gown, imo.

How about a little lace bolero jacket?  I think that would look so pretty with your dress and not take anything away but still give you a little coverage.

I think we are the same person! Seriously, I have those arms too. I’m also having a moment, because I think you look amazing, and I would not think twice about your arms, but I always cover mine. Always. You don’t need anything, but if you are going to be self conscious all day like I would, just get a nice lace bolero to pair with it.  I think it would look lovely, and would offer a nice textural difference but not take away from the dress at all. Seriously, though, you don’t need it. You look absolutely stunning.

Speaking as someone who always feels morecomfortble with my arms covered I have voted for sleeves or a bolero or topper. Try one on and see what you think. I think the plainness of the dress will work well with something lacey on our arms.

tchelsea :  OMG we are like the same person! I had the same concerns. I despise my arms. I’m always covering them. I also had concerns about my arms in my wedding dress, but something just came over me and I was just like F it. They are my arms. I wore a veil for the ceremony that gave me some coverage, but I took that off right after the ceremony basically. there are a couple pictures where I hate my arms, but overall, I’m glad I didn’t try to cover them.

You look fantastic in your dress. I think covering your arms will detract from the beautiful simplicity of your dress. Rock your arms! You look great!

Don’t ruin the dress by adding something to it that wasn’t designed to be there.  You can’t see your arms anyway with the veil covering so use that in photos if you’re really concerned.

Just remember that your fiancé is marrying you and if your arms bothered him that much he wouldn’t!  See how daft that sounds – you are way more than a pair of ‘fat’ arms.

Work on your self confidence – you will be beautiful on your wedding day whatever the shape of your body.  Life and love is about so much more than what you think you look like.

Please don’t alter that stunning dress to try and hide part of you – if you don’t change the way you think you will only end up being unhappy about some other part of your body.
