I like the mix of table shapes idea!  I’ve gotten so freaking tired of a billion round tables.  I’m doing all rectangular tables because I’m so tired of round tables. (Sorry for my rant).  I think that having a rental company on your payroll is a really, really good idea because what if 12 days before your wedding you realize you need another table for a “memory table” that you want to have?  Well you can add it!  If you can’t tell, I just did this 25 minutes ago, lol.  So anyways, it’s good to have a rental company just in case something changes.

Before you make you decison, what is the availability of tablelcoths? Will you be supplying those? You will need huge tablecloths for the square tables -120″x156″ for linens that reach the floor,or have to overlap smaller cloths, or place a runner down the middle between two smaller cloths.

If the tablecloths are not an issue, I would use the tables they have, and have Fiance provide the rectangular tables for the cake, guestbook etc.

Why spend money that you don’t need to spend?

I like round tables. If you’re going to the trouble of renting, you might as well have all beautiful matching tables with linens that fit.

I went to a wedding with different table sizes and it was fine. It was easy to accomodate different sized groups, for instance, all 12 college friends could sit together, while a smaller family of 6 might have their own table. It looked great.
