@Taeyers:  I honestly would have sent him a text back saying “Uhhh, not sure who this was intended for me, but it’s not me.  Wrong number.  Sorry bucko.”

Google the number? Honestly, it’s probably text spam.

I would block him, then delete the message.

If you respond, it only confirms your enmail address is valid and you set yourself up to be spammed from other sources.

he probably texted you by mistake.  I’d just delete it and not worry about it

It was probably just a wrong number. Just ignore it or send a text back that says “Sorry, wrong number.” If they keep pushing or send you more, that’s when you could start looking into it more.

“Wrong number, please do not contact me again or I will involve authorities.”

You can do a reverse lookup on the phone number for like $2.00, just google it.

I agree, likely a wrong number and I’d just reply back something like, “I think you sent that to the wrong number, please don’t text me pictures of your dick any more” and be done with it.

I wouldn’t involve the cops– it’s a waste of police resources and even if they could track the phone’s owner (a mighty big IF when you can walk into any Walmart and buy a phone with cash, no questions asked, and a prepaid card to load it), they could also get in a lot of trouble for using police computer systems to research stuff when there hasn’t been a police report filed.

I WOULD tell my SO about it, only because it’s the kind of thing that could come up later on and the fact that you hid it from him could be mis-interpreted. Just say something like “eeeew some pervert was sexting someone named Tina and got the number wrong and sent me a picture of his nasty-looking willy!”  If you don’t make a big deal of it, no one else will either.

And if the jackass does it again, that’s when you ask him if he’s got a magnifying glass and does he need directions to CVS to buy some wart cream?

Hmm yeah that is definitely strange! I’ve had this happen to me before after I got a new number and I kept getting wrong numbers calling me, and also got a picture message of someones gravestone..I was like uhh thats weird but I didn’t say anything back..I also had someone try to facetime me from a number I didn’t know and I just ignored it. So weird.

Just delete it and ignore it. If it happens again. Call your wireless provider or log onto your account online. Block the number.

I would tell him not to contact you again or you’re going to the police. It probably was a wrong number, I don’t really see what you stand to gain from finding out who this guy is. If it continues just bring your phone in and file a report, the cops can get the name associated with the number to file charges.

Have a mean sounding male friend call and straighten him out.
