My hubby and I are expecting and we are stuck on baby names. We still do not know what we’re having, so we want to be prepared (name wise) for a boy or girl. We LOVE George but we are stuck on a middle name for George???? and we don’t even know where to begin on little girl names…HELP ME BEES 🙂 bring on the ideas

George is an awesome name! Very classic and elegant. I like George Ignatious, or George Anthony- as George contains one syllable, I think it would sound good with a three syllable middle name, but it might depend on the last name.
Girl names! So many! If you like the relative simplicity and classical sound of George, maybe Jane, Sophia, Bianca, Lisa, or maybe Victoria (almost all are more than one syllable, I know!)

@Chelsea646: I agree with what a PP said about the three syllable thing for the middle name. I’m a massive Harry Potter nerd so I had to refrain from suggesting George Fred (doesn’t fit anyway).
I like George Matthew for a boy. I have quite a quirky taste in names and ones that I love and think are fine, other people despise (eg- Sibbella). So I have a feeling that none of my suggestions will really be that warmly recieved.
I love Georgina Alice and Georgina Vivian for a little girl, they’re both beautiful. I’m also going to put forward suggestions of Georgina Caroline, Georgina Valerie, Georgina Charlotte and Georgina Guinevere. They’re all pretty classical names. I definitely vote Georgina for a girl because I think it goes with the kind of names that you said you like very well. And it’s really pretty while still being elegant.
I’m not so keen on names like Victoria Jane only because it seems a little like you’re trying to hard to give your daughter a ‘vintage’ name. I don’t think that you are but since vintage everything is a trend right now I would be worried that once it died out the name might just seem dated. It’s still pretty though, and I’m sure whatever you choose will be great.

George David sounds great together! For a girl…. Lauren Elaine sounds great, Sophie Jane, Anna or Victoria are also beautiful first names 🙂 Good luck.

if we have a boy (Eventually, when we get pregant – by the grace of God), we’ll name him Otto – classic and strong but unique these days. If we have a girl, I love Ivy (or Ivie or Ivey?). Our last name starts with a vowel and 3/5 letters of it are vowels, and I think both of these names sound great with it. My sister in law has staked claim on Ivy though (even though it sounds waaay better with my fiance’s last name), so we’ll see…. I shouldn’t even get started on that topic…
Anyway, I love Hattie, Hazel, Beatrice, Esther for girls. Obviously I like more old-fashioned names… Don’t really have a whole lot of others in mind for boys, we’ve been pretty set on our boy choice for a loooong time (crazy I know, since it’s a weird name for this day and age. My fiance has apparently always had a list of boys names for his son, and Otto was the only one that was even close to being acceptable to me! And then it really grew on me…).
Maybe it would help the brainstorming if you told people your last name? TOTOALLY understand if you’re not comfortable with that though! (our last name is uncommon, so even moreso I wouldn’t probably tell it)

@BridieBea: I like Georgina Valerie, but that’s just cuz I’m a Valerie 🙂
I’m nowhere near having a baby at the moment, and never really thought of baby names. But this past week I saw the name Rhona somewhere and can’t get it out of my head.
Trying to decide if I should ask Fiance if he likes it as a future baby name, or if it might freak him out and make him think I want kids RIGHT NOW, which I don’t.
