I’m getting my invitations ready, and don’t know how to stuff them. Ok, so I have an outter, inner and RSVP envelope.
1. Do I put the RSVP card and envelope in the inner or outter one?
2. Do I put the directions in the inner or outter one
3. We are paying for the wedding, so do I put my fiance and my name on the RSVP envelope? (we don’t live together yet)
Thanks in advance!

Go to Crane’s website http://www.crane.com and click on etiquette tips (on the bar toward the very top of the page). It’ll tell you how to address everything, and how to stack all your enclosures.
P.S. Everything goes in the inner envelope. The outer envelope just keeps the inner envelope clean & purdy.

The Crane’s website is great.
As far as the RSVP envelope, obviously put the address where you want them sent. And use the name of the person who lives at that address. Both should be for the person who is actually going to keep track of them – checking the off the guestlist as they arrive – which is probably you, right? I had my name and address put on the RSVP envelopes, in spite of the fact that my parents paid for most of the wedding and reception, and that my fiance moved in with me just after the invitations were sent. Although honestly, if you want to put both names, you can do that too. If your mailman is like mine, you will get a few envelopes with question marks scrawled on them, until he figures out what’s going on.
