Canmore is gonna be cheaper than Banff, Jasper or Lake Louise.

Oh yes Canmore for sure! We try to visit friends there every couple months… It’s just so beautiful and way cheaper than banff or jasper!

I’m not sure what the prices are like but I think it would be worthwhile to look into Waterton Lakes in AB. It’s beautiful and reminds me of a little european village in the rockiesM

I went to a wedding at the Silver Tip Resort last summer, but I dont know how much it was. It’s about an hour away from Calgary

Sun Peaks in BC is nice. I’ve skiied there and seen weddings happening all over.

3 Valley Gap also in BC is a bit off the path, but it’s got a beautiful lake side with mountains on both sides.

Canmore will be cheaper, but it’s still gonna be a lot. I would suggest looking at more “offbeat” locations, like Hinton, Rocky Mountain House, or further south in the Crows Nest Pass.

To be honest, Lake Louise is my favourite and if I could be married on Morraine Lake, I totally would.

@Cynderbug:  Kananaskis is pretty, but there isn’t much there.  People usually go to Canmore for liquor runs.  All that I’m aware of is Kananaskis field station and the facility for the G8 summit.  Unless you just want to do everything outdoors.

@Cynderbug:  Would Golden, BC be too far?

Another idea is Kananaskis Valley – with just as lovely views!  ETA: I see AB bride already mentioned it!

Is Jasper, AB a contender?
