I’ve seen some people use creative napkin rings and just set the napkins where the plates go.  If it is in your budget you could use some sort of creative place mat. I saw a cute one on Martha Stewart’s website where you use colorful scrapbook paper as a placemat and you cut out a little triangle that you pop up and write the guest’s name on as a place marker. What’s your theme?

Double post sorry…

Well I found the link to what I was talking about.

I’m sure you could find lots of creative things. We’re going to try to use doilies for placemats since we’re having a vintage/garden theme wedding. We’re using a colored tablecloth though so that it will pop.  Will your linens be a plain white?  What are your colors?

are you going to have menus?  those always make a nice edition to the table.  and you’ll probably have all the tableware (glasses, silverware etc), plus table numbers/names, and of course centerpieces.  i’m sure it’ll look great!  i love peacock accents, blues/teals/purples…. you can really go all sorts of ways with it.

i know this is a different color scheme than you’re going for, but i saw this paper at paper source and it is gorgeous.  i’m thinking i might use it to line some correspondance envelopes.

Silverware on the table for sure! It is super hard to carry a plate and silverware!
