If you want the tablecloths to go to the floor, they need to be 120″ long on one side. (60″ wide table & 30″ on each side to the floor)

They don’t necessarily need to be square as usually the cloth is overlapped if you are butting tables together.

72″x120″ cloths can be overlapped down the length of the table with the 120″ side placed crosswise to cover the table to the floor.

You could use 90×120- it would take fewer tablecloths to cover the length of the tables.

Each 90×120 tablecloth would cover 1.5 tables.

I would buy whatever is cheaper.

The 120 inch side would be going across the narrow ends of the long table.

Perhaps this drawing will help (maybe not as it is terribly primitive- I have no skills in this area whatsoever!)

Consider this 4 60×60 tables placed together- the ends of the 72 inch cloths could either be tucked down between the tables or overlapped on top of the tables. Ditto the 90 inch – whichever you like the look of.

ps There will be NO laughing!!!!!

I bought some tableclothes from fabulous events.  They rent tablecloths and they also sell tablecloths.  I went to their website where you can buy linens and bought the linens for my guest tables.  I ordered the rest of the linens and napkins I needed from contempo linens.  Both of these companies deliver nationwide so they may be able to help you.  They have a large selection of linens, napkins, chair sashes, even chair couture.

@LuluInLove:  I owe you an apolgy. I actually woke up last night thinking “She’s right! The 72″ cloths won’t work!” I don’t know where my brain was yesterday. My math professor must have been shaking her head.  The 72″ cloth would only go 2/3 of the way across the end table if it started at the floor.

120×120 cloths may be hard to fiind and likely quite expensive. Keep in mind that the cloth only needs to go to the floor on one side of the end tables- the end that is open. No one will see the side that is butted up against another table. 90×120 cloths will work just fine.
