It has a halo so I wouldn’t worry too much about it looking too small. However, if you think you will ever want to upgrade the size of your centerstone, I would go for the medium sized one because you would be able to keep the setting with a slightly larger diamond.

If you’re adding a halo (which it seems like you want the most) you can go with a smaller center stone and get more bang for your buck. That’s the great thing about halos! IMO, I wouldn’t go larger than a .75 carat center stone with a halo, but that’s just me. I also have very small fingers, size 3.75.

I’d start as big as you can so you don’t have to upgrade in the future, but that’s just me. I have a 5.5 finger and we’re looking at 1.8-2 carats but no halo.

Do you know what your bf’s budget is?  That can help you figure out what size.  A 1.25ct or larger may be more than he is willing to spend.
