Does anyone else have this problem on iPad or iPhone?
I enabled ad blocker to fix it, but still every few posts, the Bee ads will suddenly without warning shutdown my browser and send me to the App Store. This has been going on for months now and I am getting really annoyed.
I googled this problem, and it happens on every browser so that’s not a fix. Forums say specific ads are at fault. This doesn’t happen in any other site but the Bee, which suggests it’s their ads or one foul ad company. But it is also a major security hole for apple it seems. It’s very annoying having to close out of App Store to return to page, esp when it happens five times in a row upon opening a new thread.
I have have also blocked pop ups and cookies on my browser already.
Anyone have a solution other than ad blocker which I have already implemented?

Only happens on my iPad mini!

Happens to me too. Way obnoxious, but better than that one mountain/water image ad that opened a full-screen video every time you clicked a new link inside the bee…

A Support thread was started about a week ago by a bee about this issue with the ipad and Mrs. Mouse answered the tech team is investigating.

Thanks everyone! It is creepy. So far I have read tha you can turn on in settings for safari or whatever browser and then:
block pop ups, turn off ad tracking, and turn off cookies from third parties
then, you can also go into settings, general, and then restrictions and set a passcode for iTunes and the app store.
After this, you have to hard restart your device. So far mine has been okay but I’m not endorsing these techniques yet because the ads come in waves it seems like. So I can’t be sure these suggestions are working yet.
The bottom line is this is invasive and inappropriate advertising. I hope the Bee stops using these types of ads. I will turn my ad blocker off if they do stop, because I like to support sites I enjoy. But this current situation is unworkable.
