Holy shit thAt is huge!!! It’s awesome!!! Honestly I’d be scared of getting robbed w/ a ring that big. You can always turn it in so the diamonds on the inside of your Palm when traveling. My coworker has one that’s probably 3 ct. It’s so beautiful. (her Fiance is a jeweler so it’s expected). Just get insurance on it if that’s the one you’re going with. I have a round halo too. I think that setting is really cool. I wouldn’t care if ppl think it’s fake bc tons of women I know wear fakes if they outgrow their real e rings and I wouldn’t ask someone if it were fake. If anyone asks I’d  give them a snarky remark. Plus, I think you definitely can tell a fake from a real diamond. I have a fake set for vaca etc and there’s absolutely no comparison from the CZ to my e ring. You’ll be blinding them girl!!!=)

Have you worn a ring that large before? Because you may find that it catches and that you end up with hard skin and/or blisters as a result…

My advice is to try wearing a costume ring of equivalent size for two weeks beforehand, in order to see how practical it is.

I really like the halo, very unique. But I also understand your concern about the size. If I would see it in real life I would probably think it was fake, but regardless its very pretty!

@Rock_Revival:  it is big, but if the only reason you think it might be too big is b.c. ppl will think its fake … who cares you know its not even if it was why does that matter its the promise and love behind  a ring that matters

if you and he fell in love with it its not to big

if you feel its getting in the way and not confy to wear thats the only reason it could be to big at this point b.c. when you were drawn to it did u think it was to big? No? then its not unless its unfuctionable in day to day was

who gives a care in the world what anyone else thinks or does not think if you love it and you can wear it with out it getting in the way (i find sometimes i bash mine whne i opned doors holds breath, mine isnt really big at all just normal urs is on the bigger side so i bet i would have smashed it lol) but if you can wear it then wear it love it

@Rock_Revival:  It looks like an estate piece. I would probably just assume it was passed down from someone’s grandmother.

What is the TCW? To me it’s too busy. It’s not that it’s too big exactly but just a lot going on. A gorgeous 1.75 will get kinda lost, imo. And no one should go around losing a gorgeous 1.75 diamond 🙂

@Rock_Revival:  AMAZEBALLS!!! Girl that ring is gorgous and if thats the first one that you fell in love with after all these years than you should get it!! Worry about the band later!! It doesnt matter what anyone else says or thinks or feels about it…It is YOUR ring.. do what makes you happy!!

BEAUTIFUL!

I prefer to wear smaller / lower profile rings. If you don’t want a high profile ring that will bang and snag on everything, you could go for a smaller center diamond and have them set it as low as possible.

I love the marquise diamonds around the halo!!

@Rock_Revival:  OMG I just thought of the perfect band! You’ll probably have to wear it on the other hand but I would do that anyways with that ring..

Ok so I would get a band of marquis set the same way as the halo..alternating up and down like a leaf

@Rock_Revival:  Personally I think a ring can never be too big, but it does get to a point where it starts to look Gaudy like a Gypsy bride’s ring.  You dont want everytime someone seeing your ring, saying “oh wow, thats big” in a smart ass way. Yes u shouldn’t care what ppl think however, every day someone comments on my ring saying how much they like it and it is a 2 carat center with a small  halo around, it is big, but not obnoxiously fake big.  I am just giving you my opinion bc I have a friend who has a gaudy big ring, and ppl never give her genuine nice comments about it, bc its just too much.  Again it doesnt matter what ppl think, but when someone says something to u everyday about it, it gets annoying.  I would lose the setting & go with a bigger center stone.  Looks like the center stone is 1.5, I’d go with a 1.75 or a 2 carat and lose the giant halo, unless you can get a more dainty halo, but again that is just my personal opinion.  I would rather have a classy smaller ring than a gaudy, showy, fake looking ring.  Plus you gotta worry about going in certain areas & ppl trying to rob you, cut off your finger when its too big.  Hope this helps:)
