I thought that I had a clear idea of what I wanted in my head; wedding on the beach, with colors of black, white, and purple.
Replica of a Mori Lee mermaid organza ruffled dress, keep the same dress for the reception. Now I have no idea what I want. I was searching through eBay looking for a good dressmaker and I found someone who did a fantastic mermaid dress in red, white, and blue (individual colors not all together o.O). I think it’s a replica of the Vera Wang Gemma. I’m absolutely in love with both the red, and blue dresses not to mention the Maggie Sottero Divina in blush. My mom and some friends just say to buy whatever I want, but a lot of people, particular on FI’s side want a nice white dress. My brother mentioned to get the Mori Lee in white and then get the second dress for the reception which seems odd wearing the bigger dress for the dinner. I just don’t know anymore.
These are the dresses and btw the original bridesmaid colors were a little darker than a royal purple but I guess I’ll have to change that too
Mori Lee and then the other replica in Red I’m sorry if they’re too big.

Personally, when I think of wedding, I think white dress, but I’m traditional. It’s your wedding, so you should get what makes you happy. What do you think your Fiance would think if you came down the aisle in a colored dress vs. white? Is he traditional in that sense? Obviously, it’s your wedding/your choice, but if it were me, I would also pick something I think my fiance would like to see me walking down the aisle in. For us, it was white.

I’d get the white one. The others don’t seem like a wedding dress, and that is way too many colors going on. Especially for a beach wedding, that’s a lot of dark colors.

mrscali13: I’m really not traditional at all. He is a bit more, and I just KNOW that he would prefer me to walk down the aisle in a white dress. I don’t think he’d really care that much about the reception though. He’s come with all kinds of crazy reception ideas incredibly non-traditional that I highly doubt that he would care about the color dress I’m wearing then.
MrsN14: Well if I do choose to wear the red dress at any time during the wedding, the purple will be replaced by red in the theme colors for the wedding. I’m not too worried about there being a bunch of different colors. Fiance and I LOVE dark colors. He actually wanted a more gothic themed wedding and I had to talk him out of it. Although, you are right it would be a bit dark for the beach and I would be burning up in anything darker than blush. Maybe the white is better for the ceremony at least. Thanks for your input.
