Hi Bee, I’m also in a conundrum about picking a ring! I vote for the cathedral style, although both are beautiful, for me, that one looks a tiny bit better.

I also was torn between to identical rings, with one being a cathedral and one not. I ended up getting the cathedral one and love it so much!! I think it looks so nice and helps connect the stone to the band in a way.

    Sothats what I voted 🙂

I like the A. Jaffe better than Verragio.

    • rozannab Atleast you’ve got your style down. I have a poll going with four rings that are polar opposites but I love them all and I am at a standstill with my decision. Hopefully trying them on will help me. You can’t go wrong either way honestly.

They are both beautiful.  Keep in mind that your wedding band may block the peek-a-boo diamond so the tulip shape of the Veraggio may also be obstructed.  I voted A. Jaffe cathedral because I think if you whacked your hand on a doorframe or something it’s more secure.

I voted for the cathedral but in all honesty don’t think you could go wrong with either, they are near identical.

rozannab :  The second one looks just a tiny bit better to me, more polished/finished. But they are so similar and feminine that I had to scan back and forth several times before noticing any real difference. You couldn’t go wrong with either.

As an aside, if there’s a relatively significant price difference (I have no idea with these two settings), you rarely notice your own side profile after you add a wedding band.  I have a Tacori e-ring with an intricate side and it looked beautiful in the store, in photos, and even on my finger for a while while I stared at it but once I added my wedding band it hid most of those details.  I wouldn’t have picked a different ring, but if there’s a price difference that is relatively higher and you don’t feel far more strongly toward one than the other, you couldn’t go wrong with either.  Both very classic, pretty designs.  I picked #2 because that extra little bit makes it just a touch prettier to me.

rozannab :  I’d go for the a.jaffe setting because it looks more secure it also doesn’t have the detailing on the side of the band. With the tacori I’d worry that having a wedding band against it for years would cause rubbing on the  detailed side of the band and wear it down over the years.
