@futuremrsmendez:  firstly DON’T go with ivory becuz your dress is the one thing you shouldn’t be compromising on. As a bride we compromise on so many things to make other happy; bridesmaid dresses, guest list, venues, etc etc. To some degree we also need to compromise on the dress as we all can’t afford to go couture with our dream designer.

You should stick with your original color of blush beuz you love it. Your mom and Maid/Matron of Honor likes it and you said yourself that your Fiance thinks it’s nice too.

30 is not old! I’m going in be in my early 30’s at my wedding πŸ˜‰

Here are some inspiration pics of brides wearing pink and blush

I think they all look so pretty and very bridal.

@bellasmum:  Love your advice and I can’t say it better myself!

ETA: Actually, I lied. You tell your mother and sister, “Here is my compromise: I wear my blush wedding dress, and you will both love it.”

@futuremrsmendez:  Hahaha reading comprehension fail πŸ™‚ Hey, if you want ivory and can still switch the dress colors, I say do it. You do not want your reaction on your wedding day to be “this color makes me want to puke” πŸ˜€

@futuremrsmendez: sorry I was under the impression that you were starting to be swayed because of family and friends! If you are having “puke” thoughts you should change the color. Perhaps try on the ivory and blush again to see which has the opposite effect of puke! πŸ˜‰

I’ve suggested this to someone before – not sure if it was you – but there may be another option. Have you thought of getting Jasmine’s to make it? Then you could have it in any colour you liked. Perhaps a really pale pink – really a white with pinkish tones – would still bring a touch of originality without freaking anyone out too much.

Or you could have champagne or cream or oyster or pale lavender or whatever.

@futuremrsmendez:  I’m having the same struggle between the blush and ivory Divinas except my fiance went on a rant about how he doesn’t like pink dresses….  My wedding is farther off than yours though but I don’t think you could go wrong with either!  If the thought of wearing pink and (probably) shocking your family makes you happy, then go for it!  I love the idea of wearing something different than anyone else in my family has before!
