@roxy821: I’m trying to keep it closer to 3k if possible including an engagement session for about 8-10 hours of shooting time.  I’m willing to go up to 4k if I have to.

Try Birch Blaze Studios, they are from New Husband but pretty close to the North Shore.  They are very reasonable for their talent level.  We are under $3k including travel fees (we’re going to Maine), 2 shooters, 8 hours of coverage, etc.  Love these guys!

For our Boston wedding we have Heather Parker Photography. I don’t see why she wouldn’t go to Northshore. It’s not that much further.

@ Miss Boston, our photographer has awesome packages in your price range. Dave Bibeault out of RI- he shoots all over. We should be getting our pics back this week, so I can’t give a full review, but he shot our shower and e-pics and we loved them. He was great to work with and includes a bunch of stuff in his packages, which are under $3,000.00. He was one of our favorite vendors. Good luck! 🙂

Totally new here, but thought I’d suggest my photog.  He did my sisters wedding as well as my best friends, so it was a no brainer for me.  It’s Berryphotos and what I like is that they don’t have any time limites, I get all my pics on CD with a release and they don’t charge for travel.  Plus, they’ve always been great to work with and very responsive.  Hope this helps!

We’re using Berryphotos and they’re great.  We get unlimited time (cool because we’ve got a three hour gap between ceremony and reception) also, we’re getting all the images right away with a copyright.  Fiance hates having his picture taken, but they’ve been so great and comfortable to work with so far he’s actually cool with it.  Their style is exactly what we were looking for and they’ve got the best albums I’ve ever seen.

I highly recommend Stacie Kirkwood!  We are using her for our wedding!  She is out of Framingham…She was a bit above our price range, but her referrals were outstanding.  We really hit it off with her when we first met!  She had all these suggestions for us on transportation to and from the ceremony, she was great.  My fiance felt very comfortable with her.   She gives you full rights to your pictures 6 months after your wedding date, your pictures are uploaded to a pictage album between 4-6 weeks.  Again, she was a little over our price range, but I figured we can cut corners somewhere else.  The pictures are the biggest party of the day!  We can’t wait!

We just booked Agnieszka Wormus from A Brilliant Photo for our wedding – and I absolutely cannot wait! Mrs. Toucan used her for their second anniversary shoot, and that’s how I first heard of Agnieszka.  Her photos are gorgeous, and I think her prices are very reasonable.  Not to mention, she’s *such* a sweet person! She actually just moved to Colorado but will still be shooting in the Boston area for 2011.
