Wear a Mermaid slip to make the bottom flare out more, and the contrast will make your tummy look flatter! You look beautiful and your dress is gorgeous!! =)

For the record, you look BANGING. Also, I want to second and third what everyone else is saying. Avoid bloaty foods: sugar (ESPECIALLY fake sugar), anything with soy in it, simple carbs, legumes. Look into whole 30 and see if you can do that.

Also, this is so silly but look up yoga for digestion and de bloating. Those moves SAVED my bloated belly for my shower!!! Also look into self-administered belly massages.

needscoffee :  you look amazing! don’t worry about it too much. I felt the same way as you when I was doing my fittings, but no one even noticed it during the wedding not even my friends. They only noticed it when i pointed it out. LOL.

So do not stress yourself out. If anything, you can do what I did. I wore those high-waisted underwear that had tummy control. I think the brand was Jockey. It worked quite well.

But please, please, you look absolutely wonderful so do not worry. Just enjoy your day and you will look super amazing no matter what πŸ™‚

needscoffee :  well I think you already look awesome!

I would try another brand of shape wear. I like the Jockey band myself. I also have a longer piece that goes right under my bra- that might work better than just a tummy panel.

I would also try it without any shape wear as well. Believe it or not, I have a couple of dresses that I wear without any help as they just lay better without them.

you look great to me!

but i know how you feel. When i tried on dresses at davids bridal, they gave me a mermaid slip and like a bra with boning idk what its called. I have a shaper that I wore to my next appointment by Alaya Lee (its a tad pricey but it definitely holds you in) and I could see a big difference between how the dresses were fitting

You look great but I’ll share something I recently did with you:

I recently worked with a personal trainer to do a dramatic slim-down before a photoshoot.

Here’s the plan I was given:

4L of water a day, seriously this amount of water makes you feel SO good. Extra alert and my skin looked flawless. This plan is NO salt, very low carb and low sugar.

Morning: An apple

Lunch: Small tin of tuna on PLAIN rice crackers

Dinner: Steamed meat and veggies – plain (no spices or sauces)

I walked for 30mins during my lunch hour and then another hour in the evening. We have a mini gym set up and I basically did a mixture of running, light weights, squats, sit ups and dancing/earobics.

From Sunday to Sunday I lost 7 pounds.

The day before the event you’re meant to halve the water intake.

I also wore a full body slimming spanx suit.

needscoffee :  I swear I just had the same exact thread as you! I have to be honest, I think you look awesome! I am not even noticing your tummy whatsoever! All I see is a gorgeous dress on a beautiful figure. We are our worst critics. Please go look at my thread and I think perhaps it will give you some perspective. I am in the same boat, but I think you look phenomenal! Please don’t be so hard on yourself.

needscoffee :  You look perfect in that dress. Spanx don’t do a thing for me btw… When I want to tuck, I go for something that looks more like this:

Rago Girdle

Now, sexy it ain’t and you most likely won’t be enjoying too much food in it either but THAT’S what you wear for TUCKING!

You look lovely! If you hadn’t of said anything I wouldn’t of even noticed!

I have a podgy tummy and very thick thighs. I was worried I’d feel self conscious in my dress…until I invested in the modern world’s great equalized: SPANX!

If you are really worried, go pick up a pair. I did and they had just enough control to ‘deal with’ what I deemed a problem area.
