dgirl715 :  I would love a Mojito cupcake! I was part of an organization that bakes cookies for charity, and the flavors that tend to do best are either the really common comfort ones (chocolate chip) or the unusual fun flavors (I baked Mexican hot chocolate cookies and they went over really well… The pumpkin spice less so, even though it was tight after Thanksgiving).

My vote is a chocolate type, something vanilla-ish, a fruit type, and a spiced one for fall?

alexam :  Good choices! I’d probably go blueberry lavender instead of lemon, but that could also work. Or, given that it’s fallf perhaps apple crisp instead of the blueberry? The Mexican vanilla sounds delish!

I vote for a simple, crowd-pleasing chocolate/chocolate, a fall flavor (apple crisp or pumpkin spice), a fruity one (blueberry lemon, lemon elderflower, etc.), and an “exotic” flavor maybe in smaller quantities (like the Mexican spice). I agree with PP about avoiding alcohol, esp if it’s in the frosting, if kids or people who 100% abstain for religious reasons.

I would pick:

  1. One chocolate one, such as: chocolate/chocolate or chocolate raspberry
  2. One one of the vanilla ones, such as: mexican vanilla, wedding cake, or vanilla/vanilla
  3. One fruity one, such as: lemon squeezy, lemon elderflower, strawberry explosion, blueberry lemon, or lime coconut
  4. One fall-flavored or cakey one, such as: pumpkin spice, apple crisp, carrot cake, or red velvet

Personally, I’d choose chocolate/chocolate, mexican vanilla, lemon squeezy, and pumpkin spice.

I’d choose the ones that I love while still has some variety:

cup o’ java – coffee/chocolate
lemon elderflower – interesting and light
pure perfection – fruity slot
the nervous monkey – banana/chocolate slot

I would pick:

salted caramel

apple crisp, since your wedding is in Sept.

Grasshopper and wedding cake both leap out to me. I think mimosa or champagne would be nice for a brunch wedding.
