My fiance and I are trying to figure out where to go for our honeymoon. We know that we’re going to start it out by going to Tahiti for a week, and then want to travel to either Australia or New Zealand..
Please help up choose between the two 🙂
THANKS A MILLION!

I don’t know much about New Zealand vs Australia travel but since thaiti is kind of secluded and laid back maybe the 2nd part of your trip could be in a city in Australia. You would get a little of both worlds!
I also wanted to ask where you are staying in Tahiti? My fiance wants to go to fiji or tahiti sooo bad but we only have one week off for the honeymoon. Any good hotel suggestions.. we are thinking bora bora or moorea?

We’re going to stay at a hut on the water for 1 day and then take a cruise around the islands for a week.
We haven’t booked the hut yet…but I can let you know as soon as we do 🙂

Allyser if you’re still considering Fiji, I would highly recommend Likuliku. We’ve booked several honeymoons there, and each time our clients have come home extremely happy.

I would definately choose New Zealand. I’ve been to both and would highly recommend NZ. Australia was okay, but didn’t feel that it was nearly as special, scenic or impressive as New Zealand. If you want, you can PM me and I can email you some of our pics.

Hi—just like PP i have also been to both. I studied entertainment and tourism in both countries for 90 days and would be happy to answer any questions you might have. I would also recommend you decide instead based on feedback, that you evaluate if you and FI are gonig to want a more city based environment or a laid back place. While both countries have both atmospheres, NZ has it all within a 5 hour drive, where AU is lots more spread out. Good luck deciding – both places are wonderful!

I think Australia would be AMAZING!

I would vote for New Zealand, but just because it is smaller and there is so much outdoorsy stuff to do there. There was a Bee recently who took their honeymoon to NZ and blogged about it– who was it? Anyone remember?

My cousin lives in New Zealand and from what he has said, I would go there hands down over Australia. It sounds amazing.
