My fiancé and I agree that our honeymoon should be a once in a lifetime trip – one that likely won’t be possible to take once kids come along. We are planning to spend 10 days over Christmas holidays…just can’t seem to make a decision!

I voted for South Africa, probably b/c you mentioned wine.
I’ve been to Croatia and it’s wonderful, but not as exotic as I imagine SA to be.
Hawaii is also AMAZING, but I bet you could go there another time… doesn’t seem Once in a Lifetime, exactly.
No clue what Panama or Argentina might be like– surely amazing too, but… well, you didn’t mention wine, so…

Definitely go to the Southern Hemisphere if you’re going in the winter! A safari is on my bucket list, you should absolutely do that!

If what you want is to go somewhere where you wouldn’t want to take your kids, it makes sense to go to South Africa (long flight!) and do the winery/safari thing. Hawaii you can absolutely do with kids. Same with Panama and Argentina. I would say that if South Africa falls through, I would do Croatia.

@CanadaMoose: +1! Took the words right out of my mouth. These all seem like great destinations, but S. Africa would probably be the hardest with kids.
