Hey Bees! Help us name our new rescue kitty!
Our Dog’s name is Roux, like Cajun roux, because we are both chefs. We like the idea of keeping the Cajun or food theme, but we don’t like anything too “sweet”. We aren’t opposed to a Halloween name because the kitty is black and white and orange. We honeymooned just recently in Riviera Maya, Mexico, so I like something similar to that as well. Maybe a Mexican food? Also, the kitty is a girl.
Hubby came up with: Okra, Gumbo (I like both, but they sound like boys names to me)
I came up with: Maya, Mexi, Nola, Cinco (we’ve been together five years this week, and we were married on the 5th)
Any more ideas? Also, we don’t like Pumpkin, too sweet.
Thanks in advance!

I like the name Gumbo, I think that’s cute.

I love it, too. I had planned for our next dog to be Gumbo, so I kind of want to wait and save if for when we can get a boy dog! Silly, I know.
Beso is good! I just tend to think that names that end with an o are slightly masculine, why I’m not in love with cinco. I also thought Pico. Hubby like Maya. I’m not 100% cause it reminds me of a girl I knew named maya.

How about besa with an a on the end? Besita?

MAYA! Also thanks for adopting

Although not food related, you could name her Ayla. It is Turkish for ‘Halo of light around the moon’.
For something sweet, you could name her Ambrosia (Divine, immortal one. The food of the Gods. Dessert with oranges and flaked coconut), Apple, Biscuit, Caramel, Eclair, Fudge, Latte, Maple, Mashmallow or Toffee.
I hope this helps you. 🙂

She looks so much like our new baby who came with the name Evie. (we didn’t change it) I like pumpkin or spooky for your baby.
