Fiance and I are stuck for ideas for an upbeat recessional song. Were having an outdoor wedding, our processional is just the way you are (piano guys version of bruno mars) and the songs for while we sign the register are “god must have spent a little more time on you” by nsync and “marry me” by train. Any ideas for a recessional? We would of loved viva la vida by coldplay but our friends already used that.

@cuddlz88: I’m replying because I am in the same boat,…. no idea about a recessional but I want something upbeat… one I thought of was
paramore still into you because we have dated 12 years?

I was at a wedding this weekend that used Walking on Sunshine – it was super cute – they all put sun glasses on. I’ve also always loved almost any song by the beatles for the recessional.

We looked at Vitamin String Quartet’s arrangements of All You Need is Love and We’re Going to Be Friends but in the end we went with the White Stripes version of We’re Going to Be Friends.

Ours will be Make it Wit Chu by Queens of the Stone Age

We LOVE Stuck on You by Meiko. I couldn’t figure out where to use it so I think we settled on recessional. It’s adorable and totally upbeat.

@cuddlz88: We’re walking out to “Ain’t That A Kick in the Head” by Dean Martin. It will put everyone in an upbeat mood and it’s really nice.

We were so stuck but wanted it to be a song we both loved so we decided to go with “dig” by incubus. It was going to be the first farewell song but were gonna use the Bruno Mars version of just the way you are as the first farewell song. Dig will work well for the recessional I think
