- Wedding: September 2011
We are getting married in September at my parent’s ranch. The whole ceremony and reception is in their 2 acre pasture. It is very informal, we will have food, drinks and a live band. We are only having tables and chairs for 200 people, because we figure people will be dancing, hanging out at the bar, getting drinks, eating, etc whenever they want throughout the evening. My problem is that for the actual ceremony, which is SUPER short, like 5 minutes, there really isn’t a place to create rows of chairs and an aisle. There’s a spot under the trees where we can exchange vows, but it’s right off all of the round tables and chairs. Is it weird to ask our guests to grab a drink, take a seat if they wish, or gather around behind the tables by the bar for the quick ceremony?
