I am getting ready to order my invites and need your opinion. I know it is a big no-no to put registry info on the invitations, but is it ok to put the website on one the ENCLOSURES (not the actual invite) so guests know where to go for more information? we aren’t putting directions, etc on the invites so I wanted them to know where to go. The website was on our STD cards but we didn’t send those to everyone and probably half don’t have them anymore anyways!
Also, if it is ok to put the website, how would you word it? “for additional information, please visit xxxxx?” Our wedding is pretty formal FYI.

I think it’s fine to put the website (and like you said already, I’d avoid putting registry info on the card). Here were our enclosures, they just say “For information on accommodations, things to do, and for directions, please visit http://www.[website]” Then we had information on the website about our registries.

Yes, I think that’s 100% okay!

Our wedding website was listed on the directions and accomodations card. I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be okay to list considering your guests might have questions you haven’t yet answered.

I was obsessed with doing things correctly, and I consulted with wedding-etiquette experts who assured me that it is perfectly acceptable for a couple to list its wedding website on the “accommodations” card (which, as you likely know, provides information regarding hotel accommodations, ceremony directions, etc.) that many couples choose to enclose with the rest of their invitation suite.
We placed this line at the very bottom of our accommodations card: “For more wedding details, please visit our website at weddingpages.com.”

thank you all so much! this was very helpful.
@Brielle- I am obsessed with doing everything by the rules as well, so it makes me feel much better to hear you did it as well! 🙂

Yes, that’s exactly what we did. We just wrote “for more information, please visit http://www.mywedding.com……….” and that was it!
