I don’t see a difference between my 14k e-ring and my 10k w-ring (the plain band)

I would do a plain 14k gold band. If you do different carat weights they can wear differently in the long run.

The 14K will be a little softer than the 10K. Color wise, if you have white gold, I don’t think it will matter much. Maybe have them rhodium dipped at the same time close to the wedding, then they will ‘wear’ the same.

I have a 14 K e-ring and picked out an 18K wedding band (from a different jeweler, they only made it in 18K, so I had no choice) and plan on getting the e-ring re-dipped right before the wedding. I don’t really see any difference between them now, but my e-ring is slightly scratched from wearing it for almost a year, so that is why I am going to get it re-plated (for the ring pics ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have a 10k band and a 19k e ring. I don’t see any difference, it should be fine.

sorry, I actually don’t know. My Fiance bought my e-ring from Shane Co. and I THINK they provide that as part of their customer service if you buy a ring from them. I will have to check and see how long it takes . . .

@brandybelle:

ok, I’m back with more info ๐Ÿ™‚

Shaneco has an online chat service . . . told me that it typically takes 3-5 business days for them, depending on how busy the location is. (check with your local jeweler, I think I have heard other bees mention faster times)

the cost is indeed included with the purchase of a ring from there, but the customer service rep said that she thinks it is generally around $50.

Go with something bling, then you will have less color metal difference to worry about.
