I think if you use the sash you have to take off the bow because you would have two different focal points and it would be too much. Its lovely though what ever you chose to do.

I think a sash could look very pretty once the bow is removed, but just make sure it doesn’t do the opposite of flattering the waistline by disturbing the flow of the diagonal ruching. I think a sash that’s a little sparkly would look great on the dress if it works with the flow!

I think removing the bow and adding the blush sash would be so beautiful!

I definitely don’t think something sparkly would be too much for the afternoon – perhaps something sparkly a little thinner? Now that you say it’s an early afternoon wedding I see the vision for the pink VW sash, the only thing is, I tried that sash on and I thought it was so awkward the way the 3 flowers just kind of sit there in the middle poking out. Perhaps something thinner and sparkly to really draw attention to the waist. A thinner belt will probably also enhance your waistline without making it look thicker, which a thicker belt is likely to do.

I like the pink sash but would remove the top bow, or else it’s too busy.

@october22:  Keep me posted about what you decide or if you have any questions. I did some heavy sash research when I was deciding whether or not to wear one.

I would remove the bow, but I think a sash might disrupt the ruching and cut off the flow of the dress.

I don’t know if a sah would go with it either with the way the pleats are…but I would probably remove the bow. Then you could really go all out with statement necklace and blingy cuff bracelet. Or if you wanted bling earrings (and maybe no necklace) you could also have some crystals added along the top of the bustline…
