Gahhh I’m so clueless when it comes to accessorizing! My personal style, dress, venue and feel is very vintage and natural, so I’m not looking for anything too blingy. But I HATE, hate pearls!! All I ever wear is my silver Tiffany bow.
Still need to have a hair trial, but I’m thinking a soft, romantic updo. Earrings? No earrings? I have no idea!!
I eventually plan on getting myself one of those monogrammed necklaces in rose gold with my new initials. But is that appropriate wedding jewelry? Any suggestions? PS the belt in the pic is TBD, not sure if I’m going to have one or not.
This is the XL size necklace, was thinking of a smaller one though. But you get the idea.

BurlapnLace: first of all…love the dress! and the veil!
i love that belt with it too – the color is a nice touch. and i think the monogram would look fantastic with it. you don’t have to do pearls. i had the same issue with mine and i went back and forth only because everything about my wedding is vintage/rustic, but i have ended up with some lace/rhinestone looking earrings and a small diamond necklace that my grandmother gave me…both white gold/silver.

the necklace looks too casual in my opinion. But I agree, as a fellow non-bling, non-pearl bride, it’s really hard to find the right jewelry!

I’m not a big fan of the necklace, I think it would detract from the dress with a big roundish monogram on your chest, but I think a nice necklace in rose gold (or any metal really, but rose gold or gold would look warmer) with maybe a little sparkle (not crazy prom-type bliiiiing) would look lovely and give it a nice vintage touch.

Stephnrice: I think you’re right! I have a couple friends with these necklaces and I find myself staring at them. It’s fine, if you’re not in a wedding dress!
David’s Bridal actually has a “Downton Abbey” collection, so it’s vintage-y, 1920’s style things. I’m going to lean towards stuff like that I think.

I can’t decide on jewelry either! I am sort of thinking that if it’s something I’d wear normally, that it’s probably not very bridal. I don’t know if that’s the right attitude or not though. What about a diamond solitare (or CZ) on a rose gold chain? Then you could just do some simple stud earrings or a smaller drop earring. I’m leaning towards doing a fancy bracelet and some simpler earrings.
