I am SO lost with how many venues pop up when searching on my own so I’d love some suggestions from actual BRIDES!
Wedding will be taking place in DC close to the national mall if that helps with an idea of location and what to suggest. I’m looking for an indoor venue with a view or just windows in general- for a wedding of 150 guests. I’d love something that has catering on site. Also budget is still being tweaked but for food/bev/reception- trying not to do more that $15,000. I’m hoping it’ll be doable with a winter wedding in the works!
Honestly if its not possible i’m going to cut people off my list to make it more affordable and intimate.

Thanks for any suggestions you guys have!

I highly recommend Top of the Town if you’re looking for something with a view. Not totally sure what their seating capacity is, but the view is breathtaking!

I’m in Alexandria and wanted to chime in to say that I’m going to think about your options and pop back in later. The most stressful part of this so far has been finding a venue in this area that isn’t astronomically expensive. I haven’t been there but I’ve read good reviews of the aforementioned Top of the Town.

Seriously, I may lose my mind searching for a venue in this area. What have I gotten myself into. I’ve started looking into local hotels and viewing their ballrooms, yes- viewless/windowless ballrooms. Also restaurants and restaurants inside of hotels.
Any other ideas, bees?

I don’t know costs, but i love the museum of natural history and the botanical gardens. Could be great wedding locations.

pswtec: i’ve done some looking into locations similar to museums and gardens but really do not want the stress of paying for a venue fee and then having to book anything else including tables, chairs, catering.
I’m aiming for a location that has everything I need already in place. I love how detailed some get with their weddings with selecting all the china, etc. I do not want that stress though, nor the cost!
Wedding venue shopping really is the biggest stressor at the moment.
