Check out the Los Altos History Museum. I don’t know what you count as affordable but the rental fee is reasonable for the area and it’s a garden-like setting. Weather is great in the area and you can bring your own caterer and alcohol (though they have some booze restrictions but it seemed workable.) I’m getting married in NJ now but really loved that venue!

Following up on this post as there were some great suggestions above. I’m in a similar boat for a Fall 2017 wedding:

– 150 guests

– Woodsy or beachy (primarily looking at Santa Cruz/Monterey area but open to almost anywhere in the Bay Area too)

– BYOB, BYOC, or both (if neither, something more affordable)

Any suggestions would be helpful! Have looked at quail ranch, canyon view, really leaning towards something on the coast or in the redwoods

bayareabusybee :  Try the Presidio Log Cabin in San Francisco, the Brazillian Room in Berkeley, or the Redwood Grove in the UC Berkeley Bontanical Gardens. I think the venues do require you to choose off of their approved catering list though.

Hi! Looking for someplace where I can bring my own alcohol and can fit about 300 people in Bay Area. If anyone has any recommendations I would truly appreciate it. Thank you so much! [email protected]
