I was recently asked to stand up for my first cousins wedding, and I gladly said yes, because we are very close. However, her wedding is going to be Oct of 2012. We have no idea what we would like to do, color-scheme wise. We don’t want orange, because only few people can pull off the orange look without either looking blah or pumpkin-esque. We would also like to know what are some good decor ideas for the church and banquet hall. Any suggestions, anyone??? Thank you!!! 😀

@Rita Wasie: I had a fall wedding and my main colors were fall colors (oranges, reds, yellows, etc) but my bridesmaids were in Navy.
I thought the color looked fantastic with the fall colored flowers:
That way I could focus on the decor being fall colors without worring about the bridesmaid’s clashing:

I like eggplant purple… When I think of fall I think of rich colors

@hopefloats: Ditto.. I’m a fall 2012 bride and our colors will be dark plum/eggplant and gold/champagne. I don’t like the idea of pumpkins and leaves, so this still seems fallish to me to without being over the top.

I just got married and I skipped the fall colors altogether. Partially because I live in Florida and fall isn’t really a season here anyway, and partly because I don’t like fall colors. My colors were hunter green and champagne. Here’s me and my girls:

I’m having a fall wedding and my colors are dark red, chocolate, and ivory with some accents of golden yellow, and deep orange. I think anything that is a deep gemstone color like sapphire, garnet, dark amethyst, emerald are always nice in the fall. You have such a wide variety of the actual color but stick with deep saturated tones. Good luck. I debated on the deep eggplant color as well. So I agree with the other bees with that color. Its beautiful.

Im getting married in october 2012. My colors are chocolate and tuqouise! Im getting married outside. I think for some of the decorating i might do some glitter pumpkins in my colors! I thonk it incorporates fall without taking it too far!

i think a mustard/golden yellow with dark gray look amazing together. it would be really cool to wear dark gray dresses and have sunflowers, or some other sort of yellow bouquet. gray dresses would also work well with bouquets in shades of red/orange/fuschia…with bronze accessories and shoes! LOVE!!!
hollowed out pumpkins with flowers inside make a beautiful centerpiece
cranberries are lovely. you could fill up a tall clear vase or candle holder with cranberries and then put a candle in.
orange calla lillies are to-die for… they could go in the bride’s bouquet!
