- Wedding: February 2012
So, I have this vision of a victorian-alice in wonderland-garden theme with a touch of New Orleans for my wedding that won’t go away. I have tried to do other themes and this all keeps impeding on my brain. The thing is we wanted our date to be February 29, 2012 (Leap Year) and we live in Maryland *snow*. I went to the Baltimore Druid Hill indoor botanical gardens, but was HIGHLY unimpressed witht the event coordinator, as well as the lack of space (we will be having 30 people and there’s barely any room to sit).
I have looked at the Baltimore Visionary Arts Museum and they don’t have the space I wanted (the Barn and Gardens) available for any date I had in mind. It’s really not the setting I would like to have either. Oxon Hill Manor looked good, but again, the indoor garden theme wouldn’t work for winter time.
I don’t want to have to buy a lot of flowers (hence the indoor botanical garden) bc it just seems too wasteful.
It seems as though we will be having to change our date, but I really don’t want to have to do that. Any ideas on how/where to have an winter indoor garden victorian themed wedding in the mid-atlantic region would be greatly appreciated!
