I’ve been torn over this for the past month! My wedding is in October and I’ve chosen magenta/fuschia and chocolate brown as my main colours. My bridesmaids are dead set on not wearing brown dresses (we’re East Indian). Do dresses need to match the colour I’ve selected for the decor or will it look weird if they’re say, champagne or plum? Thanks so much!!!!!! Anxious to hear you opinions!

There isn’t a rule that I’m aware of. 😛 I’d say that champagne or plum sounds like they would be gorgeous with your other colors so if YOU are ok with one of them (or both) being added in, then go for it!

Champagne and plum sounds good with your color scheme. You should google images for this idea! I didn’t want my bridesmaid dresses to match with my table linens but I dont have much of a choice because of the colorful carpet in the hotel so moving on to the next decision!

I think a color that would compliment your decor would be nice too

I think any color that would “go” with the ohers is fine. They could always carry flowers that match more with the colors, maybe wrapped wih brown ribbon? I don’t think there’s a “rule” that they have to match, especially if your girls are all uncomfortable with brown.
