Heyy

well you can check out this website http://www.entertainoz.com.au/Entertainers/DJ-Hire for some choices for a dj..well to begin with ask him how many wedding parties he has done and if he can offer some recommendations as that’s the best test possible. then the obvious qs are charges for his service; does he charge for the entire event or does he charge by the hour, does he pay for his own transport or do you have to take care of it? will he bring his own system and setup or will you need the venue to offer these? is he ok with you providing him a select few songs list which are your favourites as some djs arent too happy about this..so yeah these are a few qs..hope it helps  🙂

Great post – I am interested in what are the best questions to ask my DJ as well. First meeting is tomorrow.

Also make sure to ask if HE will be the one DJing for your wedding. If your DJ is part of a company, the company will sometimes pull a switch on the day of.

Well, I was pretty anal and wanted to make my play list myself, and we also had a friend emcee, so he didn’t have to talk or anything.  We were pretty much just using the guy for his equipment…

I’d ask if he typically shows up on time/at all, and what his equipment is like, and what he brings for backup.

I am also in the hunt for a DJ. One good question to ask is: If anything were to to happen to you (i.e. sickness, accident, broken down car) who would you have come in your place?
