@preppybear:  +1 on luminizing cream if trying to conceal.

Using some type of brightener under your concealer can make a big difference in lightening up your eye. I actually use a cream pigment from Illamasqua. Its called depravity. Its bright purple. Scared me when the girl at Sephora recommended it but it really works and brightens my undereyes.

Dark circles are also a sign of iron deficiency! Eat some steak! 😉

I can commiserate.  I’ve had dark circles since I was a teenager (no bags, though) and there’s not much that can be done aside from staying hydrated and getting adequate sleep.  However, I did ask my dermatologist about it and she recommended a cream called C8 Peptide, which I have yet to try.  Apparently it boosts collagen production and thickens the skin so the blue-ish undertones don’t “show through.”  It’s rather expensive… $80-90 for only 1 ounce.

@GRL2289: what you need is a corrector. Concealer would go over top of the corrector. I’ve heard great things about Bobbi Brown’s undereye corrector. The difference is that the corrector will be peach colour. It works really really really well. Opposite colours on the colour wheel!

Next thing you can start using is an under eye cream or serum with Vitamin K.

Vitamin K is the best vitamin that removes dark circles under eyes. Vitamin K removes dark circles under eyes and the puffiness that comes along with it by healing the damaged capillaries and arteries in the skin and helping the blood circulating around the eyes to clot. As the skin under the eye is very thin, when blood passes through the veins next to the skin’s surface it becomes important that the blood clots properly. The thinner the skin near the eye the more visible the dark circles will appear if this is not done. Vitamin K, therefore, helps the blood flowing through the veins of the skin to clot and prevent seepage, which is how dark circles under eyes are formed.

Also vitamin C, vitamin E and lots of iron!

I use GinZing™ Refreshing Eye Cream by Origins every morning and it works really well at depuffing and brightening my eyes. I get it at Sephora.

I take Benadryl nightly and that always helps diminish my dark circles!
