emilyjean89:  can you google stores near you? Once you do that I would call and see if they have some of the styles you are interested in. Also, if you see designers that you like that have a lot of the style you want check to see what retailers nearest you stock that designer. I traveled a bit in my gown search but not very far since I’m in a major city. However, I made LOTS of phone calls.

emilyjean89:  Have you try to look at local bridal shop. Use google and type in the search engine local bridal in whatever town you live in order for you to see the closest one to you.  If there a particular wedding designer dress you like go on there web-site they will tell you who carries their dresses.

If you don’t want to go to David’s Bridal, then try Ebay. There are tons of nice gently used and even new wedding dresses that other’s are selling for a good price. In fact, I’m selling a wedding dress that was worn for a few hours on a photoshoot. I don’t know if it’s your style (it’s strapless and doesn’t have a corset back) but it has bling. It’s also A-line and light ivory in color. Check it out: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131224223624?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

It’s probably worth going to DB just to see what suits you. You may be surprised.

Also, being small-chested doesn’t prevent you from wearing strapless – the dress doesn’t need your boobs to stay up so long as it’s structured properly. Actually, being small chested means you can get away with a lot of styles that look pornographic on other people, like really deep v-necks. You can also rock backless dresses that don’t offer much chest support. So it’s actually kind of awesome really.

Alfred Angelo is the other obvious budget option.

Mori Lee Voyage – around $800

Casablanca has a few options under $1000.

None of them have the corset back though, but I think they work better without them TBH.

I think there are a few authorised retailers (Weddingshoppeinc, BestBridalPrices) where you could order a dress and return if it doesn’t work out.

emilyjean89:  I would highly recommend going to David’s Bridal if it’s close to you. When I initially looked at their dresses, I only found a couple that interested me in my rather small price range. After my first dress appointment (not at David’s Bridal), I realized that a lot of the things I was looking for initially were not actually what I liked on. With that new information, I went back to David’s Bridal and was able to find a ton of dresses that fit what I knew I liked on my body. In the end, the consultant ended up pulling something for me that had the feeling I was originally going for but with the newer shape and details of what I realized I liked after my first appointment. It was one I saw on the website and really really hated on the site, but it was completely different and just perfect in person.

I’d just recommend going on a weekday if you can. It’s far less hectic. I had a consultant to myself and got to have an extra long appointment because no one else was there.

What you can do is try dresses on to see what style and sizes fit you best and go onto Bridalpower.com (From the TLC show I found the gown) and see what they have. I know they have dresses starting at $499 and are usually 50-70% off retail.

If you have one nearby, I would try davids bridal, their dresses aren’t top quality, but they are pretty and cheap.

emilyjean89:  David’s Bridal?  Do you have that out by you?  IDK what your budget is, but they’re very reasonable in comparison and have every style!

That’s where I got my dress…
